Cunning and adaptable, Firefly gets what she wants. This Mindset can be found alongside a super wealthy boyfriend who, unbeknownst to him, is going to improve her socioeconomic situation. Or, she can be found settled down with someone she truly loves as a wife and mother. Regardless to what their relationship goals are, their mastery is securing the perfect mate to fulfill them. Unlike the Fox Mindset, who is also masterful at finding the right mate to fulfill her socioeconomic needs, Firefly is typically a female of color and almost always dates outside her race.

Fireflies out in nature are known for mimicking the flashing patterns of other species of Fireflies and tricking them into thinking they have found a mate. Similarly, the Firefly Mindset is masterful at convincing the rich and famous that her interest in them is genuine when in fact, it isn’t. They are simply her latest meal ticket.

These highly observant Fireflies realized at a young age that other groups seemed more entitled to a larger slice of the American pie than their group. But they’ve also realized that their intelligence and beauty could change all of that. Wanting a larger slice of American pie than what their group was apparently entitled to created the Firefly Mindset. When their hustle is successful, these Fireflies aren’t just set for a few months, they’re often set for many, many years if not for life.
