Story About Seteah Syncur’Ray
Seteah Syncur’Ray (pronounced, se’-tea sin-cure’-ray) was born in Cleveland, Ohio to a mother who was a nurse and psychic medium and a father who was a Baptist minister and Freemason.
Seteah would often find his mother sitting in his parent’s bedroom alone. When he finally asked her why, she explained to him that she did that when she sensed the energy of the dead. Such conversations are what created their powerful friendship, which remained strong even on the day of her passing.
Seteah had visions of his own as a child. The first vision occurred when he was an infant. While lying in his crib three black birds appeared flying above him in a counter-clockwise circle. When his mother came in to check on him the birds disappeared, only to reappear when she left the room. Seteah also saw spirits as a child. In particular, he frequently saw the spirit of a man who died in the attic of the house he grew up in. Seteah could not understand why none of his six older siblings could see this spirit as he did, or why this spirit was so interested in attempting to communicate with him.
Later as a child, Seteah fell and was hospitalized. Although Seteah has no memory of the incidence, his mother states that he was in a coma and when the doctors could do no more it was her meditations that brought him back to the conscious world. After the incidence Seteah began hearing a powerful inner voice that provided him with an amazing enlightened view. Seteah’s father referred to the voice as the spirit of discernment, but Seteah would later refer to it as Syncur.
In 1989, Seteah dropped out of college and moved to Sacramento, CA to pursue a music career. Quickly, he realized that the dating scene was completely different than it was back in Ohio. Unlike Cleveland, Sactown’s urban dating underworld was a seedy network of nightclubs and malls trolled by black males in desperate need of women to support their illicit endeavors. Seteah grew up fast while learning about the dark side of urban dating and relationships as it played out in California.
Seteah became fascinated by the stories of the women he dated during this period of his life, many of whom were the first causalities of the this urban relationship war, before it became realized. He also began noticing some unique similarities in how the Game (war) affected the women he dated mentally, and began taking note.
Seteah spent many years sensing and interpreting the energy of the living and the dead. However, like his mother had done for so many years, he kept what he had realized to himself. It wasn’t until 2015 when Seteah’s mother spoke to him for the last time (here on earth) that his mind changed. She told him to not be ashamed of his unique gift. She urged him instead to begin using it to help others. Seteah took those last powerful words his mother spoke to him to heart and immediately embarked on a journey to do just that. The contents of this website are his attempt to do so.
